Criteria & Guidelines

ADF will not consider Funding for:

Food and Drink.
Trips or Tours.
Project funding for overseas Volunteering/project groups.
Air travel.
The committee is unable to give money to charities or towards events where proceeds are then given to charity.
The committee will not fund clothing, stash or personalised leisurewear.
Prizes or gifts.

Key things to know before applying:

Has your club or society received ADF funding already this academic year? If so, how much and which round of applications?
How much money is your club or society applying for? Do you have a breakdown of the costs/budget?
What is the key purpose of the application? Unbudgeted success? New or growing activity? Does it align with the policy?

Applications can be submitted via the Committee Admin Request Form.

Successful applicants:

Successful applicants will receive an email stating the amount they have been allocated. We are happy for you to spend the money from your grant as soon as it is approved and use transaction corrections to reconcile costs. It may take up to 3 working weeks for the funds to show in your grant transaction lines.

Any unspent ADF funds will be clawed back at the end of the year and does not roll over.

Unsuccessful applicants:

Unsuccessful applicants will receive the outcome and the reasons why their application was rejected. Unfortunately, there is no appeals process, and the committee have the choice to fully fund, reject or partially fund your applications.
