Annual Budgeting is here! Each year, Imperial College Union allocates over £400k to clubs and societies to support student activities through subsidising core costs. We provide this funding to make sure that core activities are as affordable as possible for Imperial students involved with club and society activity.
Annual Budgeting is open to all affiliated clubs and societies. You will automatically have access to the budgeting system where you can view previous budgets and start creating the budget for 2026-27, here's the link: Annual Budgeting | eActivities.

Before starting any budgeting for 2026-27, please make sure you familiarise yourself with previous budgets submitted. Please make sure you do not copy and paste any previous budget lines or keep the budget lines separate - make sure to group expenditure as illustrated in our training article: Stage 1: Expenditure Budgeting (Structuring Your Budget) | eActivities.
We will be releasing a simplified training document to support you on the basics of budgeting to get you started on Tuesday 31st March (look out for it in your emails after training!).
We will be delivering training to all chairs and treasurers on Monday 30th March, those financially responsible will have received a calendar invite on Thursday 26th March. Some key documents to get familiar with:
- Annual Budgeting Principles: these are the guiding principles that inform how annual budget is allocated to clubs and societies. These are approved by your representatives at Activities Forum to make sure we have the best framework to accurately allocate funding to subsidise core costs.
- Annual Budgeting Training: this gives you a step-by-step guide to submitting an accurate budget.
Please read the Annual Budgeting Principles.
We will link the training slides and recording after we deliver on Monday 30th March. If you have any questions regarding Annual Budgeting 2026-27, submit a ticket to the Activities Team and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
